Postdoctoral Associate
Job Description:The Renewable Energy Conversion Laboratory at the University of Florida (UF) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to research in concentrating solar thermal (CST) and solar fuels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research in CST and solar fuels, focusing on thermochemical reaction modeling and experimentation.
• Utilize expertise in heat transfer, chemical reaction engineering, solar thermal engineering, and techno-economics.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Prepare project reports for funding agencies.
• Publish findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
• Disseminate results in high-impact, peer-reviewed journal publications.
• Attend international conferences and workshops to disseminate their work.
$60,000 annually
Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. (or expected within 6 months) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Strong background in heat transfer, chemical reaction engineering, solar thermal engineering and techno-economics. Experience in both experimental and modeling of thermochemical reactions is highly desirable.
