Position Summary:
The Postdoctoral Associate will be involved in studying heart regeneration using developmental and regenerative biology approaches to understand the mechanisms of cardiomyocyte proliferation and dedifferentiaion during development and disease.Duties and Responsibilities:
The Postdoctoral Associate will be involved in all aspects of laboratory research, including but not limited to collecting and recording data, summarizing and analyzing results. The applicant will be working in a collaborative research environment that strives to perform cutting- edge research. The Postdoctoral Associate will discuss the progress of work regularly with the Principal Investigator, and have the opportunity to present the work at national and international scientific meetings and conferences.Education and/or Experience:
A Postdoctoral Associate who has recently completed a PhD (and/or MD) in molecular biology, physiology or metabolism is needed to work in basic cardiovascular regeneration.Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish research projects Work independently as well as in a team environment Be responsible and have strong time management skills Able to analyze and resolve issues of high/moderate complexity Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills Demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skillsSupervisory Responsibilities:
