Postdoctoral Position
Department of Soil, Water, and Ecosystem Sciences, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), University of Florida (UF), Gainesville, Florida
Nutrient management focusing on plant phosphorus bioavailability
The position is a part of the UF/IFAS Fertilizer Rate and Nutrient Management Studies involving collaborators from various parts of Florida. The right candidate should have the ability to work effectively in both field and lab settings, and to lead data analysis and writing activities.
The successful candidate:
• must be proficient in processing and handling high volumes of soil samples, and analyzing and interpreting data using appropriate statistical analysis, and
• is expected to assist in the training of graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques related to the project.
Expected Salary:
Minimum $59,000 plus benefits
Minimum Requirements:
PhD in soil science with a strong background in soil chemical analyses
Experience in statistical analysis
Effective scientific writing as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong soil chemistry background and expertise in best management practices with emphasis on soil phosphorus
