Job Description: A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the Zolotukhin Lab in the Division of Cell and Molecular Therapy housed in the Department of Pediatrics.   Research Activities will include:   -Cultivate/manage the expansion/use of cell lines following established laboratory methods. Independently develop novel methods/techniques to troubleshoot errors. -Conduct molecular cloning experiments following established laboratory methods. Independently develop methods/techniques to troubleshoot errors. -Complete plasmid purification related activities, primer design related activities, RNA and DNA isolation related activities, and perform real-time PCR related activities with moderate to minimal supervision. Independently troubleshoot issues as they arise. -Prepare and maintain recombinant Adeno-associated virus stocks following established laboratory methods. Independently develop methods/techniques to troubleshoot errors. -Search scientific literature to select and modify methods and procedures most appropriate for research goals -Maintain accurate laboratory records that record research methods, procedures, and results. -Collaborate with the PI in completion of technical reports, research papers, scholarly articles, abstracts, or recommendations. -Collaborate with the PI in completion of figures for presentations, publications, or grants. -Collaborate with the PI in completion of grant proposals and progress reports to funding agencies. Expected Salary:

$47,476-$60,000: commensurate based on experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. degree in the appropriate area of specialization. A strong interest in research, as well as excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
