Dr. Donna Zhang, a leading authority in NRF2 redox biology and arsenic toxicity, invites applications from highly motivated, passionate, and diligent researchers to join her laboratory, a division of the newly created Center for Inflammation Science and Systems Medicine (CISSM) at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology. Our dynamic team is dedicated to groundbreaking research in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular biology, and Immunology utilization genetically modified mouse models for cancer, diabetes, lung and liver diseases. The ideal candidate will be able to:

Design and execute experiments in the fields of Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, and Immunology, focusing on elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying physiological processes or disease pathogenesis. Work closely with other researchers to leverage expertise and resources for comprehensive investigations and integrated approaches to address complex scientific questions. Utilize advanced bioinformatics tools, biochemical assays, molecular biology techniques, and immunological assays to analyze experimental results, interpret findings, and generate hypotheses for further investigation. Present results at scientific conferences and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Provide guidance and support to graduate students, undergraduate students, and laboratory technicians involved in research projects. Foster a collaborative and productive research environment by sharing knowledge, troubleshooting experimental procedures, and promoting scientific rigor and integrity. Academic research related activities such as attending lab meetings and poster presentations. Other duties as assigned. Expected Salary: Commensurate with experience.  Minimum Requirements:

A Ph.D. in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Publications in high-impact journals (at least two in IF > 5; or one in IF > 10). Experience in working with genetically modified mice. Preference will be given to applicants who have received their PhD between 2023 and 2024. Preference given to individuals trained at US academic institutions. Special Instructions to Applicants:
