Job Title Postdoctoral Extension Associate Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Department Soil & Crop Sciences Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location San Angelo, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Postdoctoral Extension Associate position will be based at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at San Angelo with the Agronomy Research and Extension Program. The position will work closely with a team of Extension and Research personnel to develop and coordinate field research and generate peer-reviewed and Extension publications relative to pertinent cropping systems in West Central Texas (cotton, wheat, forages, and other grain crops and oilseeds). Support program objectives as part of the Agronomy Program team at San Angelo. Assistance with and coordination of field research projects, data acquisition and analyses, and dissemination of findings via peer-reviewed journal publications, Extension outlets, and at professional conferences. Collaborate on and lead future efforts to procure extramural funding from a wide range of sources (industry, federal, NGO, etc.). Other duties as required Required Education and Experience PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Biology, Natural Resource Management, Animal Science, Environmental Science, or a similar field. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of coordinating field research in crops, procuring extramural funding, and publishing research findings. Excellent oral and written communication skills, robust academic competency, and proficiency in field based research. Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
