Postdoctoral Fellow, Neurology **Galveston, Texas, United States** Training & Education UTMB Health Requisition # 2204213 **JOB DESCRIPTION:** The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** + Will work on the continuation of NIH funded projects in Dr. Kayeds lab. + Will test leading small molecules that are effective against toxic tau oligomer in primary neuronal culture and animal models for Alzheimers disease + Will also test molecules for their potential as imaging reagents in animal human tissues + Prepares the figures and writ up the results for publication **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** PhD, MD or Doctoral equivalent in any field.
