The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow under the direction of Dr. Ling Li.
Our dynamic department stands at the forefront of cutting-edge medical research. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will actively contribute to groundbreaking projects, employing high-throughput CRISPR genetic screening to unveil novel targets and utilizing single-cell technology for in-depth genome analysis in hematological malignancies. You will also engage in diverse activities, from scrutinizing leukemia evolution to pioneering novel immunotherapies. As a successful candidate you will:
Manage laboratory inventory by procuring necessary reagents and supplies.Develop proficiency in essential mouse handling techniques including transplantation, extraction of bone marrow cells, and antibody staining.Isolate Peripheral Blood/Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells (PBMC) from Human Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) samples or normal healthy donors.Perform flow cytometry for verification of human specimens.Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
PhD or M.D. with a strong background and profound hands-on experience in the field of either molecular biology, immunology, cancer biology, or genetics. Experience in sequencing or protein structural data analysis is highly preferred.Previous experience in working with animal models of human cancers.Literature knowledge of one of the three research areas mentioned above.Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by at least first-author peer-reviewed publications.Strong team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.
