Postdoctoral Fellow - Antibody Engineering for Cancer Research

Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research.

We seek a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join Dr. Anna Wu’s laboratory in the Department of Immunology and Theranostics, Art Riggs Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute.

The candidate will be working in a highly collaborative group on a research project on engineered anti-PSCA antibodies for immunoPET and targeted therapy of pancreatic cancer. This project offers unique multidisciplinary training in antibody engineering (design, production, purification and conjugation), molecular cancer biology, precision immuno-oncology, molecular imaging (immunoPET/CT) and translational research. Our research projects are supported by outstanding core facilities including Analytical Cytometry, Animal Resource Center, Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics, Pathology and the Small Animal Imaging Core (equipped with a PET/CT, 7T MRI/PET, and optical imaging instrumentation).

The Wu laboratory and City of Hope provides strong support for scientific writing and presentations (abstracts, manuscripts, grant applications and other materials) and offers guidance and opportunities for mentoring (i.e. training graduate students), all in a rich research environment with expertise in antibody engineering, molecular imaging, immunology, and translational sciences for postdocs who want to pursuit a career in academia or industry.

As a successful candidate, you will:

·         Be capable of working rigorously and independently to drive their projects to success.

·         Have strong communication skills (oral and written)
