A Postdoctoral Position is available in Dr. Sood's Laboratory in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology. The trainee will be responsible for conducting experiments, recording and analyzing data, maintaining a laboratory notebook/records in accordance with lab policy, and attending regular lab meetings. The projects will be laboratory-based, focusing on tissue culture, extracellular vesicles, the tumor microenvironment, molecular biology techniques, data analysis, figure design, and preparation, as well as animal work. The work will be manuscript-driven, with the goal of contributing to high-quality publications. **LEARNING OBJECTIVES** Extracellular vesicles -Biology -Terapeutic applicability -Molecular biology techniques (isolation, characterization) -In vivo techniques (models, surgery, treatment) Tumor microenvironment -Biology as it relates to extracelluar vesicles and interplay between the two. -Identify adaptive changes in the tumor microenvironment in response to targeted therapies. -Identify adaptive changes in the tumor microenvironment in response to targeted therapies. -Study potential therapeutic interventions to take advantage of findings. -Molecular biology techniques (in vitro assays for growth, viability, drug sensitivity, etc.) -In vivo techniques (models, surgery, treatment) Data analysis -Large data-set mining -Statistical considerations for in vitro and in vivo work. Figure design and preparation -Designing impactful figures -Software and data techniques for preparing figures methodically. **ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS** PhD **ADDITIONAL APPLICATION INFORMATION** https://www.mdanderson.org/research/departments-labs-institutes/labs/sood-laboratory.html **POSITION INFORMATION** MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 (https://trainees.mdanderson.org/apply/mdaPostdoctoralFellowStipendFY24.pdf) . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
