The Sun Laboratory on Immune and Gene Engineering (IGEN) at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking highly motivated postdocs to lead projects aimed at developing immunotherapy and in vivo gene editing for treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
The research will involve exploring novel non-viral delivery technologies and new drug modalities to achieve in vivo immune modulation and immunotherapy treatments for severe diseases such as cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. This project will contribute to better understanding of the pathogenic mechanism of immune diseases, how to block or prevent the pathogenic immune process, and how modulation of the immune system results in effective treatment of the diseases.

**Responsibilities**
Technical Duties:
+ Immune profiling of diseases and therapeutic outcomes.
+ Single cell sequencing and data analysis.
+ Design and conduct in vivo experiments to evaluate the delivery efficiency and therapeutic impact of the new therapies.
+ Perform CRISPR gene editing protocols.
+ Conduct immunological assays, including flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, and cytokine profiling, to assess immune responses.
+ Perform molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, qRT-PCR, Western blotting, and sequencing, to analyze gene expression and editing outcomes.
+ Collaborate with team members to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results in accordance with lab standards.
+ Supervise and mentor junior lab members, including graduate students and technicians, as required.
+ Critically analyze data quality and results, and communicate findings to scientists and non-specialists.
+ Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants.

**Compensation Statement**
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
