**Job Description** **_Roles & Responsibilities:_** We seek a highly motivated, creative, and innovative postdoctoral fellow to join our team at the BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. We are specifically looking for a team member with a background in radiochemistry and an interest in nanomedicine. Background: Our lab strives to advance precision medicine through chemical engineering. We leverage synthetic (radio)chemistry to develop innovative nanotherapeutics and imaging probes, and employ these to study cardiovascular disease, cancer, and organ transplant rejection. In addition to extensive chemistry equipment (dedicated radiochemistry facility, NMR, HPLC, MS, flash chromatography system, etc.) we have access to state-of-the-art flow cytometry, sequencing, and microscopy equipment as well as a large vivarium that enables extensive studies in both small and large animal models. Furthermore, our cutting-edge imaging facilities (including PET, MR and CT modalities) allow clinically highly relevant readouts. Our dynamic team closely collaborates with bioengineers, imaging experts, and immunologists to produce cutting-edge research. We also formally collaborate with investigators at Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands, New York University, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Tasks and responsibilities: - Develop nuclear imaging probes for studying the innate immune system. - Assist in the development of innovative nanotherapeutics. - Analyze these structures by a wide variety of analytical techniques. - Share your results through scientific publications and oral presentations. - Be part of a highly motivated multidisciplinary team consisting of chemists, immunologists, medical doctors and in vivo imaging specialists. **_Requirements:_** - A Ph.D. in radiochemistry, organic chemistry, nanomedicine, or a comparable discipline. - Profound experience in common analytical techniques (HPLC, NMR, DLS, TEM, UV-Vis). - Excellent communication and writing skills in the English language. - You are a team player and excited to collaborate with others. - Experience in nanomedicine and immunology is highly desirable. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
