Summary

Laboratory: The Teng Lab (https://tengmx.github.io) in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Moffitt Cancer Center focuses on computational and statistical method development to process, annotate and interpret cutting-edge omics datasets with the mission to understand human diseases such as cancers. The Lab is well-funded by NIH with the following data-driven research topics currently: statistical learning of spatial omics datasets; deep learning of enhancer function in gene regulation; computational modeling of DNA mutation combinatorial effects; machine learning of clonal hematopoiesis risks. The Lab is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead research projects on these topics.

 

Postdoctoral Position Responsibilities:

Lead development of dry methodology on omics datasets. Draft abstracts/manuscripts for conferences and publications. Encouraged and supported to apply for training grants.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

Passionate and motivated in omics data science research. Proficient programming skills in biomedical data processing. Experience in omics data analysis or machine/statistical learning.

 

Qualifications:

PhD in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
