The School of Pharmacy is looking for a Postdoctoral R esearch Associate to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. Preferred Qualifications
+ PhD in Biology or Cancer biology or Bioinformatics
+ Experience in full-time research or scholarship, not enrolled in a formal academic program, but working under the mentorship of a senior scholar in preparation for an academic and/or research career
+ Prior experience with cancer biology and molecular biology techniques, experience in analysis of transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic data
+ Experience in bioinformatic analyses of transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic datasets using cutting-edge tools
+ Strong background in cancer research, epigenetics, and molecular signaling
Responsibilities
+ Research Activity: Perform pre-clinical cancer research and assist in special research projects. Perform bioinformatic analyses of transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic datasets using cutting-edge tools. Actively participate as a member of a research team and attend and contribute to relevant meetings. Integrate multi-omics data to identify novel biomarkers and pathways associated with cancer and disease phenotypes. Maintain accurate and complete records of all findings. Generate and display the results and interpret their implications. Conduct invitro and invivo work. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance ongoing projects. Design and perform experiments using molecular and cellular biology techniques, including CRISPR, RNA sequencing, and advanced imaging.
+ Draft Processing: Conduct literature searches and reviews and continue to update knowledge and develop skills. Present research findings to colleagues and at conferences.
+ Write progress reports and prepare results for publication and dissemination via presentations and the world wide web. Write grants and manuscripts, teach professional pharmacy students, mentor students. Analyze experimental data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and present findings at conferences.
+ Lab Activities: Preparation of laboratory for experiments including preparation of products and cleaning work areas. Ordering of supplies.
