To learn more, please visit our website: http://www.chem.tamu.edu/ What We Want The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for working on projects in the general area of inorganic chemistry with a special focus on the chemistry main group Lewis acids for application in ligand design and catalysis. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing manuscripts, developing research proposals, and helping with graduate student mentoring and group organization. What You Need to Know + Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience + Special Note: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future. Required Education and Experience + Ph.D. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others + Contributes to team effort by working effectively with individuals Responsibilities + Research: Conducts research in the general area of inorganic chemistry with a special focus on the chemistry of antimony Lewis acids for application in in ligand design and catalysis. + Data Analysis: Participates in analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings.   Prepares manuscripts, periodic reports, scientific papers/presentations, and grant proposals.  Makes presentations of results at group meetings and other appropriate venues . + Research Enhancement, Mentorship, and Laboratory Management: Attends scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement.  Stays up to date on scientific research via reading literature etc. Provides advice and assistance to other laboratory team members. Acts as a mentor to students.  Maintains laboratory instrumentation and follows applicable safety standards. Why Texas A&M University?
