We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our scientific research team in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). Our Laboratory studies mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression as well as development of novel therapeutic targets. We use genome scale systematic approaches to discover cancer-specific genetic vulnerabilities & decipher molecular pathways underlying cellular transformation and therapeutic resistance.

Responsibilities Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.  Design, conduct, and troubleshoot hypothesis-testing experiments.  Design, conduct, and validate high-throughput, hypothesis-generating screens.  Mentoring of research technicians and undergraduate students.  Maintain detailed and understandable lab notebooks and records.  Interpret, discuss and present research findings with lab members and the principal investigator.  Use computational approaches to analyze complex data sets, including next generation sequencing data sets, and/or effectively collaborate with computational biologists.  Develop figures to depict research findings, write research and review papers, and present at scientific meetings.  Qualifications PhD or MD/PhD with concentration in molecular biology, cellular biology, cancer biology, computational cancer genomics or related discipline.Mammalian cell line and organoid culturing techniques. Proficiency in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Self-motivation, collaborative spirit and ability to work in a group setting. Able to write scientific reports and present scientific findings.
