ResponsibilitiesGraft versus host disease (GVHD) continues to be a major cause of morbidity and mortality after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Donor T cells are the primary mediators of GVHD following transplant. The fellowship project will focus on the reconstitution of T cell function in patients undergoing allogeneic HSCT. A major goal of these studies will be to isolate and characterize donor T cells specific for minor histocompatibility antigens in the recipient. T cell responses to other relevant target antigens will also be studied.
Qualifications Previous experience in transplantation immunology or analysis of T cell function is required. MD, PhD or MD/PhD is required.
