Additionally, previous experience using remote sensing to evaluate vegetation in Arctic and boreal systems is highly desirable. Compensation includes a 6-month salary ($32,500), fringe ($12,025), computing ($2,500), and travel ($1500) support. Start date is as soon as possible with potential to extend beyond 6 months depending on future funding. The research associate will be involved in data analysis, manuscript preparation, proposal development, and will have considerable opportunity for professional development. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills + Ph.D. in remote sensing, hydrology, or a closely related field. + Evidence of strong communication skills including a publication record of peer-reviewed journal articles. Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills + Record of conducting innovative remote sensing research on vegetation dynamics in Arctic and boreal ecosystems. + Potential to write grant proposals and secure funding. + Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
