Postdoctoral Scholar

Applications are sought for a full-time, NIH-funded Postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will work on a project in the laboratory of Dr. Alicia Izquierdo in the UCLA Department of Psychology (https://izquierdolab.psych.ucla.edu).

The project involves probing frontal cortex and amygdala in adaptive learning, incorporating in vivo electrophysiological recording or calcium imaging, and novel behavioral, chemogenetic, and computational methods in freely-behaving rats.

A successful candidate(s) will have the following qualifications:

• PhD in Neuroscience or Psychology
• Ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
• Desire to conduct cutting-edge behavioral neuroscience research
• Experience in in vivo electrophysiological recording or calcium imaging is required
• Experience in computational modeling is highly desirable, but not required
