Position Overview QCH is seeking a Post-Secondary Success Coach to join our College Access & Success Program (CASP). CASP supports students who may not initially plan to pursue post-secondary education, guiding them through the college and career training enrollment process and providing ongoing support to ensure long-term success. The ideal candidate will have expertise in college admissions and financial aid processes, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping students navigate post-secondary opportunities. Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support & Case Management + Manage a caseload of: + 40–50 college students for at least two years of persistence support. + 10–15 students exploring career training programs as alternatives to college. + Provide one-on-one and group support for students navigating post-secondary pathways. + Support high school seniors in completing financial aid applications at partner high school sites (1–2 days per week in Queens). + Guide college students through semester matriculation (registration, grades verification, financial aid assistance). + Conduct weekly check-ins with students (in-person, phone/email follow-ups, home visits if needed). + Administer self-assessments and readiness tools twice per semester. + Assist students with college reentry processes (readmissions, appeals, financial aid, class registration). Program & Data Management + Utilize Salesforce to track academic progress, risk factors, and resolutions. + Plan and execute post-secondary events (college fairs, alumni panels, career seminars). + Facilitate employment-related workshops (resume building, job applications, mock interviews). + Maintain relationships with college offices and NYC workforce training programs. + Conduct program information sessions and workshops for students, families, and community partners. Administrative & Additional Duties + Provide light administrative support, such as coordinating mailings and filing. + Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications ✔ Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred). ✔ Experience: + At least 2 years of experience working with young adults in a college setting. + Proven success in group facilitation (minimum 2 years). + Strong knowledge of college admissions and financial aid processes (FERPA, FAFSA, TAP). + Familiarity with NYC workforce training programs and their application processes. ✔ Skills & Competencies: + Strong organizational and time management abilities. + Proficiency in Salesforce or similar data management systems. + Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills. + Ability to collaborate with teams and high school-based staff. + Commitment to maintaining participant confidentiality. + Willingness to travel across multiple sites in Queens.
