Position Overview:

The Poultry House Operator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our poultry facility, ensuring the health and welfare of the poultry stock, and contributing to the overall success of our research initiatives. This role requires a strong commitment to biosecurity standards and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily poultry operations, including feeding, watering, and monitoring overall health.Implement and maintain biosecurity measures to prevent disease and contamination.Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation) within the poultry house.Assist in the collection and maintenance of data related to poultry health, growth, and productivity.Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of poultry housing and equipment.Collaborate with veterinary and research staff to ensure optimal conditions for poultry growth and welfare.Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay informed on best practices within the industry.Adhere to all safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in animal husbandry or poultry management is a plus.Previous experience in poultry management or operations preferred.Knowledge of poultry health, nutritional requirements, and biosecurity practices.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands of the job.
