Poultry House Operator
Description: + Communicate regularly with Farm Management + Maintain biosecurity and follow biosecurity regulations. + Keep house and equipment clean and sanitary. + Collect and sanitize eggs to provide clean SPF eggs for sale. + Responsible for basic maintenance + Monitor flock for health issues and report concerns to + Farm Management + Perform blood draws weekly. + Monitor and maintain feeders, waterers, medicators, house + temperatures, bird weights and condition. + Assist in training new hires. + Ensure the humane care of the birds during all phases of the life cycle. + Perform bird sales as requested. + Perform all other related duties as assigned. Schedule: Monday- Sunday operation, flexibility to work week days and weekends is ideal. Will work 5 days and 2 days off- 5AM-130PM Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in animal science, agriculture, or a related field is a plus. + Previous experience in poultry care or livestock management preferred. + Strong observational skills to assess flock health and identify potential issues. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions. + Commitment to animal welfare and ethical farming practices.
