This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring that our expanding operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Compensation:

Your Responsibilities:

Poultry Procurement & Supplier Relations

Manage the purchasing of poultry, including full birds and specific cuts, from processors, brokers, and suppliers. Establish and maintain strong, reliable relationships with vendors to secure high-quality products at competitive prices. Continuously monitor market trends, pricing changes, and supply chain fluctuations to make well-informed purchasing decisions. Collaborate with partners and occasionally leverage competitor resources to meet demand during challenging market conditions.

Market Development & Sales Alignment

Identify opportunities to redistribute surplus products or address market challenges creatively. Partner with the sales team to establish competitive pricing strategies that enhance revenue and market share. Stay ahead of industry trends and customer demands to identify new growth opportunities and foster innovation.

Leadership & Coordination

Act as the primary point of contact for all poultry sourcing decisions and strategies. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on inventory, pricing, and market conditions. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by addressing urgent needs and implementing efficient sourcing practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field. 4+ years in poultry purchasing roles with experience sourcing from top suppliers such as Tyson or Pilgrims. In-depth understanding of the poultry purchasing / supply chain, including market trends, product specifications, and shelf-life management. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities. A proactive approach to solving problems and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
