This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, experience with big data technologies, and a deep understanding of Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Experience in building enterprise models using Power BI desktop, SSAS or AAS
• Develop tabular, multidimensional models compatible to warehouse standards
• Develop self-service models, data analytics using power BI service
• Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and service (Power BI, Flow, Cortana etc.)
• Experience working with data gateway, data integration, self-service data preparation
• Develop, publish, schedule reports and dashboards to meet business requirements
• Assist business users on functional and data requirements to enhance data models
• Experience in requirement analysis, design and prototyping
• Strong understanding of Power BI application security layer models

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• BS in computer science, information system or equivalent working experience
• 3+ years of working experience in data warehousing projects, data preparation
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI)
• 3+ years of experience with self-service analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience with Java Script, CSS other java script libraries
• 3-5 years experience in SQL


Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $190,900.00.
