PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• The responsibilities include identifying, recommending, and implementation of ideas to improve the order management and business analytics usage
• Use Power BI to create reports and dashboards that give decision makers quick access to the data they need
• Gather requirements from key stakeholders and recommend solutions
• Documentation of current processes, data, and physical environment
• Perform itemization, analysis, and documentation of existing data sources used by, and available to, the department.
• Document the source, content, connection methods, and description of business value of data sources.
• Work with the business unit and IT team to define technical specifications & requirements
• Document business data use cases and identify data quality needs.
• Create a global data model using Power BI Dataflows and shared datasets.
• Document, design, and code business logic for data models
• Combine data sets from multiple systems to create a global view of data
• Coordinate and conduct meetings such as: user interviews of business process reviews; gathering of data use case requirements; various status reports
• Develop strategy for version control and security of reports
• Work within various cross-functions to support key project initiatives across the finish line outside of PowerBI
• The BA responds to and diagnoses system, process, and data issues through discussions with business users and internal service teams
o Develops the functional specification of the new processes, logical data model, and physical environment
o Recommendation to build, buy, or outsource
o Develops the functional integration test specification, conducts integration test, and conducts customer acceptance test
o Identifies, develops and delivers training needed for implementation (PowerBi or alternate solution)
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science,
Business Administration, Related Field or equivalent job experience
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in Business Intelligence Reporting, Software Development, or Database Administration
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in business process improvement, Business Intelligence, Software Development or related field
• Ability to work non-traditional business hours
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including loading data using dataflows and custom visualizations
• Proficiency with SQL and database technologies
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Effective listener and communicator • Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office
• Some experience with Salesforce.com, Oracle and SAP is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive and forward thinking
• Able to effectively interface with other disciplines in the organization to achieve result
• Demonstrated ability to drive result
