Power BI Developer
**Position Description** The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI and data modeling, with a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate data models and the ability to work with large datasets to support business intelligence initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize business performance and trends, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet business requirements. + Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, and management, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. + Utilize data modeling techniques to create and maintain corporate data models that support business intelligence solutions, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. + Optimize and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance, usability, and scalability, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise. + Conduct data analysis to identify key insights and trends, providing actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. + Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all BI solutions, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements. + Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our BI capabilities and recommend new solutions as needed. + Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize BI tools and reports. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. + Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of Power BI projects. + Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling, with the ability to create complex calculations and visualizations. + Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues. + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes, with exposure to designing and implementing data pipelines. + Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, including experience with Azure Synapse and the Microsoft Data Platform. + Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including its components and integration capabilities. + Understanding of corporate data models and experience in creating and maintaining them to support business intelligence initiatives. + Experience with data governance and data quality management practices. **Why Work for Flynn?** Flynn Group offers a variety of benefits and perks to encourage and empower our employees.
