The role is developing and updating BI reports as well as communicating actionable insights to improve corporate decision-making. Should be able to manage data, evaluate its results, and display them strategically by using visualization tools, DAX queries, charts, and relationships. Also, understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications. This role uses independence and judgment, works to solve data issues and problems.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Critical Tasks:

Engage in prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI Reports

Develop Power BI Data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations

Implement security in reports and dashboards

Troubleshoot reporting issues and tune report performance

Responsible for implementing security on developed Dashboards in accordance with security and access requirements

Study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence.

Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights.

Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.

Spot key performance indicators with apt objectives

Analyze previous and present data for better decision making

Transform business requirements into technical publications

Build multi-dimensional data models

Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models

Perform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI scripts

Run DAX queries and functions in Power BI

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in Business Analytics tools developing Reporting and Dashboards

5+ years in Reporting and Analytics using Power BI - M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, RLS

Hands-on experience with SQL

Great numerical and analytical skills

Experience working in Agile development environment with tools such as Jira

Good communication skills to translate business requirements into Dashboards and Reporting

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or applied math

Experience in working with Power BI, Tableau & Azure

Familiarity with scripting and programming

Knowledge of SQL server

Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics and quantitative analysis skills.

Experience managing and merging large quantities of data. 

Experience performing root causes analysis on internal and external data and processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and accuracy in work, time management and organizational skills

Able to work under own initiative as well as in a group.

Demonstrate a strong knowledge and applicable usage of Excel, and MS Office.

Demonstrate ability to communicate complex analytic results in a clear and concise manner.

Desirable previous experience producing credit, revenue, or portfolio analysis.

Competent in public speaking and presentations

Self-directed with ability to prioritize and manage expectations with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within teams to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
