Seeking a superstar Power BI Platform Administrator who will work as part of the Data & Analytics Office to administer, manage and govern our Power BI platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Actively perform administrative, monitoring and diagnostic functions in the Power BI Service
-Monitor Power BI Service and Power BI Gateway performance using audit log data, and analyzes usage data and trends to derive appropriate courses of action to ensure the system is performing optimally
-Optimize Power BI cost & capacity utilization, and support yearly license management process
-Perform technology watch of Power BI features, and socialize relevant ones with the user community
-Ensure Power BI data model security design and performance tuning
-Define and enforce security policies
-Define and socialize Power BI usage patterns and best practices to our large community of users
-Monitor users in the Power BI environment to ensure they are following recommended best practices and policies; and provides feedback to the business community when deviations occur
-Install/Upgrade/Maintain PBI Gateway Servers and Create /update Gateway connections
-Fluent in using PowerShell scripts & Power BI Rest APIs to monitor the platform
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in Power BI administration
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI End-to-End Development using Power BI Desktop connecting multiple data sources (SAP, SQL, Azure, REST APIs, etc.)
-Experience in implementing a CICD pipeline for PowerBI
-Experience in managing Power BI Gateways
-Expertise in using advanced level calculations in datasets
-Hands on – PowerPivot, Power Query, Dax Query, Excel, Pivots/Charts/grid and Power View
-Able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standard
-Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and verbal
-Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally with various business stakeholders
-Problem solver with critical thinking skills including an aptitude to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic organization
-Highly motivated to work in an open team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement, and innovation mindset
