POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Management Regional Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management Group IV, Department 0110. Preferred location for this position is in the South, Southeast, however other POWER offices may be considered.
Job Summary of Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Project Management Regional Manager (PMRM is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the regional project management team to produce a product consistent with POWER’s mission statement and our culture. The PMRM is expected to lead by example in adhering to POWER’s culture and defined project management and business practices, and to achieve the goals of the business plan, maintain POWER’s high-quality standards, promote internal teamwork and meet the needs of our clients. The position requires a focus on the division initiatives related to Client Connection, Uncompromising Quality and Building a Better Future Together.
Essential Job Duties: Preparation and execution of PM BU’s business plan Meet and exceed business plan financial and strategic goals Assist with development of rate schedules, review of contract T&Cs, and negotiations with clients Develop and execute recruiting plan. Monitor and address retention Oversee the bi-annual employee review process for all staff. Perform reviews for all direct reports Support the development of the next generation of leaders. Develop confidential, written, leadership succession plan for region Position the region to be able to subcontract services to diverse suppliers to meet client diversity-specific goals Prepare, monitor and execute PE-to-PM plans for internal transfers and new external hires. Ensure a strong mentoring relationship is established with all new PM’s Ensure that monthly meetings are held with each PM to discuss project status, processes and relevant reports as identified as best practices in POWER’s PM/PE training and Project Manager Expectations Quick Reference Perform as a trainer for one of POWER’s internal training courses (such as PE/PM Training, annual PM Training or Winning Work) or other acceptable equivalent Leverage the PMRM role and take on the role of developing executive level relationships for a specific target client or clients Coordinate with regional Business Development staff on key client and project opportunities Position self and reports to take on externally facing and active roles in national or regional organizations with the goal of challenging employees and positioning POWER as the expert in our field Fulfill PM role, executive sponsor, and PM mentor on project(s) Contribute as an active member of the PMRM group Required Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience Ten (10) years of project management experience required Fifteen (15) + years’ industry experience Demonstratable leadership experience Demonstrated competence in client development and client relationship management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Education/Experience PE (or equivalent) license or PMP certification Participation and leadership in relevant industry professional organizations Demonstrated competence in working with multiple departments, disciplines, and multiple companies to deliver successful projects Knowledge of POWER’s major clients in the regionAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
