We're seeking a proactive individual who will contribute through design, optimization, and maintenance of our critical power distribution systems, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply to drive our manufacturing operations forward. **As a Power Distribution Engineer, You Create Chemistry By...** • Designing, developing, and maintaining the power distribution electrical and communication systems for BASF chemical manufacturing facilities. • Conducting power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies, to ensure system reliability and compliance with safety standards. • Providing technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams for troubleshooting power system issues and serving as a subject matter expert on power systems engineering, providing training and mentorship to junior engineers as needed. • Reviewing and approving electrical designs and specifications for new projects and modifications through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external contractors to implement system upgrades and expansions. • Developing, implementing, and optimizing preventive maintenance programs for critical power system equipment. • Staying current with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to power systems engineering. **If you...** • Have a BS Electrical Engineering 7+ years of electrical experience with preference for industrial experience within large petrochemical manufacturing facilities. • Possess a strong understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relaying up to 138kV. • Are proficient in power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools. • Have knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, ANSI, etc). • Are familiar with programming and communication of SCADA systems. • Have knowledge and familiarity with programming of SEL and GE relays. **Then...** **Click below to Belong@BASF!** **Create Your Own Chemistry when taking advantage of our Total Rewards.** At BASF you get more than just compensation, Medical & Dental.
