Power Distribution Technician (Associate-II)

 

  Job Description

Responsibilities:

Under direct mentorship, a PDT Associate will gain knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairing a variety of electronic and/or electrical equipment relative to their assigned location. Assist mentor with LOTO of equipment and function testing to verify equipment readiness. Must have a basic understanding of electronic and/or electrical schematics/drawings/prints. Performs work within a variety of Halliburton-specific software and hardware. Assist with rig up/down of electric frac equipment, including making electrical connections and deploying medium voltage electric cables. Assist mentor with identifying unsafe conditions and suspending site operations until conditions are safe. The role is a developmental role that will work around three-phase power distribution components up to 15,000 volts (medium voltage electricity), PLC hardware, and cabling. This role is developmental through OJT and training. It is expected that someone in this role will be able to break out as an independent PDT within 1 year of start.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent. Technical certificate in applicable discipline or equivalent job experience.
