Power Electronics Engineer

Requirements:

BS degree in a related field with over 10 years of industry experience in power electronics hardware design.

In-depth knowledge of switching power converters.

Expertise in designing AC-DC and DC-DC converters.

Proficient in high voltage (up to 1,000 V) and high current (up to 1,000 A) experimentations.

Comprehensive knowledge of various conversion topologies including flyback, forward, push-pull, etc.

Experience with EDA tools, specifically OrCAD and Altium.

Proficient in PSPICE simulation tools.

Must be able to move from concept to architecture to product design.

Capable of developing test plans, procedures, and solutions.

Strong understanding of magnetics (inductor/transformer modeling), magnetization inductance, and leakage inductance.

Preferred Skills:

Local candidates preferred, as the position requires onsite presence.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead specific product design projects from concept to production in the field of power electronics.

Analyze and develop controller/power converter solutions for permanent magnet electric machines.

Perform detailed system analyses to evaluate power semiconductor devices for target applications.

Define and optimize power semiconductors, gate drivers, and busbar designs.

Perform and manage high-power and high-current experiments.

Validate the performance of prototypes to finalize product designs.

Provide engineering support to production, ensuring seamless transition from design to manufacturing.

Pay: 67-90

Pay Details: $67.00 to $90.00 per hour
