Power Electronics Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to design, modify, and integrate high power DC-DC converters and solid-state relays for battery management systems.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field

Ten years of combined work experience or hands-on graduate experience in power electronics

Experience in designing high power DC to DC converters

Experience in high-current solid-state relay design

Experience leading, training, and mentoring other engineers

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion

Embedded controller design and software/firmware programming capability

Experience designing for high reliability harsh environments

Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, DoD, NASA and IPC standards and quality requirements

Experience in schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout; Altium preferred

Experience in AC to DC power conversion

Job Responsibilities:

Design, modify, and integrate DC-DC power converters up to 100kW for battery charge control and voltage regulation

Design, modify, and integrate solid-state relays capable of carrying currents up to 1000A

Perform circuit design, analysis, simulation, and PCB layout for harsh environments including vibration and thermal cycling

Conduct design verification testing on PCB assembly prototypes and document results

Design measurement circuits for various physical battery parameters such as voltage, current, temperature.



Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
