Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Power Electronics Technician. This position will be located at our Torrance, CA facility.    

  
The Power Electronics Technician will be responsible for the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of power electronics systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and systems.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $64687.5 - $94875.0 a year.

•    Test and troubleshoot electronic components and devices according to engineering instructions and specifications.
•    Diagnose and repair faults in electronic circuits and systems.
•    Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
•    Collaborate with engineers to improve product designs and processes.
•    Document test results, repairs, and maintenance activities.
•    Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. 
 

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
•    Minimum of one (1) year experience in power electronics.  
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. 
•    This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
•    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Torrance, CA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with Microsoft Office products.

•    Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics and diagrams.
•    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•    Experience with soldering and using electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
•    Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
•    Good communication and teamwork skills.
