What You Can Expect
As the Senior Advisor of Power Marketing (Renewables Power Origination), you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Strategy team on evaluating project acquisition targets & market strategy development and originating renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPA) in North America by developing new and expanding existing commercial and industrial (C&I) customer relationships. In this role you will communicate ENGIE’s energy transition story, benefits, and key attributes of potential product offerings, propose, and structure renewable energy offtake deals for ENGIE’s wind and solar projects in the development portfolio.
Every day in this role you will originate long-term PPAs with large C&I customers seeking to meet their renewable energy and sustainability goals to support the financing and construction of new renewable energy projects in ENGIE’s development pipeline.
PPA Negotiation: Lead negotiation of the terms and conditions in the renewable energy PPAs, term sheets, exclusivity, broker, and drive PPA transactions toward closure internally and externally Build Customer Relationships: Actively manage and build relationships with existing and new customers in different C&I customer segments across North America. Seek opportunities and deal structures that enable bilateral transactions with the C&I customers while remaining abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and global industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to C&I customers Proposal Preparation: Evaluate requests for proposals, lead bid preparation, prepare competitive analysis, and manage participation in competitive procurement processes. Match available projects in the development pipeline with customer needs and prepare proposal and presentation materials for customers during shortlist and negotiation process. Lead establishment of strategy, pricing, and different structures for available projects Internal PPA Approvals: Prepare internal approval notes and review PPAs with internal stakeholders, collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s renewable project development, delivery team, and cross functional teams and business lines. Leading the internal support teams though all aspects of the complex sales process through to closing Growth Strategy Support: Ensure customer preferences and feedback on energy products and attributes, project locations, and continuously evolving PPA terms are shared with development, finance, and management team for future growth path of renewables business for ENGIE in North America Public Speaking: Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as speaker, panelist, and energy leader
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering or related field of study where you have learned contracts, negotiations, business administration, or similar based program Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy industry with three (3) years of experience in power origination Record of success in a development or PPA capacity in the clean energy sector securing long term power sale agreements on renewable energy projects with large corporations and/or utilities Proven ability to lead, structure, negotiate, coordinate, and execute PPAs together with internal and external advisors Knowledge of the US electric energy markets and corporate demand for renewable energy Working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations, electric transmission, power generation and/or renewable energy technologies Flexibility, solid sales experience, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills Marketing and Presentation experience to create marketing, presentations and proposal materials to pitch renewable energy projects to customers Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail Results oriented leader with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with the various cross-functional employee groups Ability to work independently and as a team member
Additional Details
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy Must be available to travel domestically up to 35% of the time Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies Ability to engage with stakeholders on evenings and weekends
Compensation
Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
