Job Title: Power Plant Coal Yard Operator

Job Description: Join our team as a Power Plant Coal Yard Operator, responsible for safely operating industrial machinery in a 24/7 power generation facility. This entry-level role involves responding to alarms, executing procedures, and performing maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Operate and regulate Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Combustion Turbines, Boilers, and Steam Turbines.

Perform emergency operations to maintain electric service and safeguard equipment.

Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance; inspect and test facilities.

Report anomalies to Operations and Maintenance staff.

Perform compliance testing and log entries.

Operate heavy equipment like dozers, haul trucks, conveyors, and more.

Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Willingness to work swing shifts, extended hours, and emergency call-outs.

Knowledge of industrial machinery and heavy equipment.

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of combustion principles, troubleshooting, safety equipment, and regulations.

Familiarity with lockout tag-out procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to stand, walk, climb, and operate in various conditions.

Capable of carrying and operating a fire extinguisher, wearing PPE, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: Located in the Mid America Industrial Park, Chouteau, Oklahoma, our coal-fired plant meets strict environmental standards. The role involves physically demanding tasks in a 24/7 rotating shift environment.

Job Type & Location: Contract to Hire position based in Chouteau, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
