About the role:
Major activities/Key challenges:
Establishing repair criteria for day-to-day maintenance and operational concernsForced and planned outage work development and executionAnalyze OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) data and make improvement recommendations.Conduct analysis of reliability problems and investigate solutions with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and weight, size and availability of materials/equipment.Determine cost advantages of alternatives and develop action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.Facilitate, coordinate and support teams in the development and execution of recommended reliability improvements.Ensure system asset health. Investigate equipment failures, trips, and perform related inspections. Develop and implement repair strategies.Lead multi-disciplined teams in the Root Cause Failure Analysis for equipment failures and process interruption.Support Reliability Excellence (REX) core processes for implementation in production and maintenance departments.Monitor and improve processes, procedures, and equipment to eliminate environmental and safety hazards.Perform capital project development including multiple corrective options, costs, timelines, approval reviews, execution, and commissioning to provide a smooth return of equipment.Prepare project reports. Prepare system functional descriptions for new or modified equipment. Provide technical expertise to Maintenance and Operations.Identify knowledge gaps and act as a translator/trainer between business (availability, MTBF, Downtime, Utilization, Root Causes, etc.) and the language of the shop floor to both operations and maintenance.What you can bring to the role:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field or related fieldDemonstrate familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, and ability to develop expertise in unfamiliar industrial-scale systems.Working knowledge of maintenance practices and reliability principles.Well-developed interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in engineering or maintenance.Track record of facilitating resolution of issues between production and maintenance groups.Training and experience with performing Root Cause Analyses.Steam or Gas turbine generation equipment and related systems.Potable water system operation, service, and maintenance.What’s on Offer:
