Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for solving tough engineering challenges; provide guidance and technical support across various engineering teams. Schematic Creation: Design electrical schematics using CAD software, ensuring all designs are accurate and meet project requirements. Lab Work: Conduct hands-on testing, including soldering, using an oscilloscope, multimeter, and other lab tools to debug and validate designs. Customer and Supplier Communication: Participate in teleconferences with customers and suppliers to discuss design updates, test results, and resolve issues. Documentation and Reporting: Write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical reports. Review and edit reports submitted by colleagues to ensure quality and consistency. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other engineers, project managers, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in tight spaces, ascend and descend flights of stairs, and perform physical tasks related to testing and troubleshooting hardware. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power supplies, military specifications, or related fields. Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software and schematic design tools. Extensive hands-on experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting (oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering, etc.). Strong understanding of Mil-Spec standards and performance testing criteria. Ability to work with legacy documentation and reverse-engineer designs when necessary. Familiarity with power supply design, including design, validation, and failure analysis. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and collaborate effectively with teams and customers. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, often with limited documentation or resources. Physical Demands: Ability to work in a lab setting with hands-on electrical testing and soldering. Must be able to move around tight spaces and walk up and down stairs. Occasional travel may be required. Additional Information: Competitive salary and benefits package. Opportunities for career advancement and professional development. Collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative work environment
