Power Supply Design Manager Date: 12 Feb 2025 Location: Cairo, Cairo, EG, 112761 Company: COLAS RAIL EGYPTE Opportunity Overview Power Supply Design Manager Colas Rail Egypt- CML1 Key Responsibilities: + General Duties: + Stay updated on industry trends and engineering advancements. + Report progress, variations, and technical issues to the line manager. + Prepare weekly and monthly reports. + Attend technical meetings and collaborate with project teams. + Identify risks and propose solutions. + Provide mentorship and technical guidance to design teams. + Set team goals, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and recognize achievements. + Project Stages: + Tendering:Analyze tender documents, identify deviations, prepare queries, and suggest design improvements. Prepare BOQs and review supplier documents. + Design:Create complete electrical system designs, perform calculations, ensure client specifications are met, and provide design input during coordination meetings. Follow quality procedures and risk management protocols. + Materials Control:Prepare material take-off, review supplier documents, and ensure equipment compliance with project requirements. Participate in factory acceptance testing. + Construction:Conduct site visits to identify potential design issues, provide corrective actions, and prepare "as-built" drawings. Competencies: + Knowledge sharing and partnership building + Research and innovative problem-solving + Technical expertise in electrical systems and design software (Revit, AutoCAD) + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's or PMP preferred) + Experience in PS design and senior management roles + Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD + Fluency in Arabic and English (French is a plus) This role demands technical expertise, leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.
