We are looking for a Power Supply Engineering Technician (3rd shift) to join Antenna and Microwave Products – Product Test and Sustainment team. The individual will support production test sets and troubleshooting of complex modules and subassemblies along with supporting test engineers in new design and build of custom test solutions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting presently deployed test sets and associated equipment in a manufacturing environment along with performing preventative maintenance and calibrations. Other duties will include documenting procedures, processes, and reporting of test set statuses to be utilized in the investigation of upgrades, obsolescence, and improvements to test setups.

This position will need to work 1st shift during the training phase. After training is complete, 3rd shift will be required.

This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do

Troubleshoot failures on power supply modules using automated test sets, data analysis, visual inspection as well as manual testing. Identify trends in defects and work with appropriate teams to resolve them in a timely manner to prevent future defects in the build process.Document failures and send to the appropriate rework operation.May have opportunities to troubleshoot with test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power meters, multimeters, etc.May have opportunities to be involved in new test set builds.May be required to take on other duties and responsibilities such as test equipment coordination and test set troubleshooting.May be required to grow in other technical areas, such as RF module and RF test set troubleshooting.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with any combination of the following:Experience troubleshooting failures on power supply modulesExperience with test equipment coordination and / or test set troubleshootingExperience with test equipment coordination and / or test set troubleshootingActive and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with power supply test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and spectrum analyzers, and other general use test equipment.Ability to work from schematics, test requirements including written and oral instructions.Test hardware assembly, integration, calibration, and component-level troubleshooting experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work in cross functional team environments.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
