BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Some experience in electric utility engineering is preferred; however, professional mentorship will be available. Some of the responsibilities you will have at the cooperative:
Create a multi-million dollar project list that drives the capital budget of the co-op.

Complete field reviews of projects in progress to verify design and construction standards are followed.
Complete system studies required to evaluate interconnection requests for distributed generation (DG) to the system.
Design and implement new programs to help increase the reliability of the electric system.
Work closely with the line design team to develop new best practices to simplify the process of designing of new power lines.

Design all residential and commercial developments.
Assist the IT department with the installation, development, and maintenance of software systems that are used by engineering and operations.
Provide technical expertise to other employees and members of MVEC.
Work continually towards self-development to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
MVEC offers an excellent benefits package including health, life, vision, company-paid 401(k) and pension. Increased responsibilities and leadership opportunities available with time and experience. Wages are very competitive and dependent on experience.
