Job Title: Power Systems Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Studies Engineer for substation projects and other associated high-voltage (HV) electrical projects. The role involves substation design support, power systems studies, ARC Flash Analysis, Load Flow, and Lighting studies.

ResponsibilitiesProvide substation design support as needed.Conduct power systems studies using ETAP or SKM.Perform ARC Flash Analysis, Load Flow, and Lighting studies.Complete grounding studies and write detailed reports.Review equipment drawings and conduct design reviews.Witness factory acceptance testing.Ensure compliance with Canadian Electrical Code and relevant CSA, ANSI/IEEE standards.Essential SkillsElectrical Engineering Degree6+ years of experience as an electrical engineer4 years of experience in power systems studiesProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) certificationProficiency in using ETAP or SKM for studiesExperience leading design studies (short circuit studies, grounding studies)Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledgeable with Canadian Electrical Code and relevant CSA, ANSI/IEEE standardsExperience with additional software such as CDEGS, CYME, PSCADWork Environment

This position will be based out of Canmore with the potential to start remotely and eventually move to a hybrid model, reporting to the office in Langley. The role involves being in the office 2-3 days a week. The company values a small, personable work environment and offers flexibility with work-from-home options up to July.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
