CTG is seeking to fill a PowerBI Developer opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
**Location:** Buffalo, NY (Hybrid Remote)
**Duration:** 12 months
**Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced and passionate PowerBI Developer to join M&T Bank. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for in-person collaboration at our Buffalo, NY Tech Hub. The PowerBI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable PowerBI solutions. This position requires extensive hands-on experience in creating complex reports and dashboards, data modeling, and leveraging the full capabilities of the PowerBI platform. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Design, develop, and deploy PowerBI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business requirements.
+ Focus on requests to provide detailed and accurate reporting solutions that support decision-making processes and comply with audit requirements.
+ Lead the end-to-end process of PowerBI solution development, including data integration, transformation, and modeling.
+ Create and optimize complex queries for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights through reports and dashboards.
+ Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and performance of PowerBI solutions.
+ Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring best practices in PowerBI development and data visualization.
+ Stay up to date with the latest PowerBI features and enhancements, incorporating new functionality into existing solutions.
+ Assist in migrating legacy BI systems to PowerBI, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
+ Maintain and update existing PowerBI reports and dashboards based on changing business needs.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
**Scope of Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the development and deployment of PowerBI solutions for various business needs.
+ Ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of PowerBI implementations.
+ Collaborate with both technical and business teams to ensure effective solutions.
+ Oversee data modeling and report/dashboard creation processes from start to finish.
**Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:**
+ Mentor junior developers in PowerBI development best practices.
+ Guide the development team in ensuring quality standards and optimized reporting solutions.
**Education and Experience Required:**
+ A minimum of 5 years’ combined higher education and/or work experience in PowerBI Development.
+ Demonstrated advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in PowerBI.
+ Expertise in PowerBI and related technologies, including data modeling, query optimization, and reporting.
+ Ability to translate complex business requirements into high-quality PowerBI solutions.
**Education and Experience Preferred:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics.
+ Advanced knowledge of PowerBI technologies and best practices.
+ Experience in working with a diverse range of stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
+ Familiarity with server/client and virtual technologies.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
