This is a full-time HHS position with a 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. schedule and some callback. This position is part of a team of three that operates and manages boiler, switchgear, generator power, and energy infrastructure. As part of the larger maintenance team, the Powerhouse Technician will work on projects with a variety of co-workers in different vocations. The Powerhouse Technician ensures that power and energy are provided and maintained for CMHI and its sister facility the Civil Commitment Unit for Sexual Offenders (CCUSO) in order to maintain a comfortable environment for over 300 employees and over 200 patients. The ideal candidate will have a secondary skill set in addition to powerhouse functions, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. If you enjoy helping adults and families connect with mental health and disabilities services, this is a great opportunity to consider. Applicants will be required to complete a background check to be considered for this position. CMHI provides active inpatient treatment to adults in need of acute psychiatric care. The facility offers several services includingindividualized treatment plans. Support for patients with special education needs to continue their education is provided, and individuals are encouraged to collaborate with staff members in formulating their own plan. Medication, group counseling, and activities therapies might be included as well.
