Job Description
We are seeking full-time manufacturing and industrial professionals to support advanced manufacturing technology needs in order to launch an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVOTL) aircraft in 2025. This position is focused on providing global support for all project management activities pertaining to the design, implementation, and launch of the battery, stator, and eMotor operations. The role requires full-time on-site work at either the Covington, GA plant or San Jose, CA facility, with travel necessary.
ResponsibilitiesDefine manufacturing production plans, capacity planning, and line design activities.Develop manufacturing work instructions to ensure compliance with regulations, Stellantis Production Way (SPW), engineering, and design requirements.Support the installation of equipment and validate manufacturing processes.Support project management and planning of PWT transition of operations.Implement manufacturing operations activities necessary to achieve volume and capacity requirements for PWT components.Leverage the manufacturing network to support eVOTOL planning, design, and launch execution.Support launch readiness and drive key launch requirements/decisions; escalate issues and support issue resolution using tools such as PDCA and 5Whys.Develop and deploy best practice implementations; collaborate with other plants to cascade best practices, methods, and processes.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering.Minimum 5 years of quality, manufacturing powertrain engineering, or process engineering experience.Knowledge and experience in vehicle process engineering or underbody process engineering.A minimum of 5 years work experience focused on layout (Autocad), Ergonomic and Cycle Time (measurement, optimization) activities and plans.Proficient in COA Software (Siemens or CATIA).Microsoft software: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Outstanding teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate at all levels, including with Upper Leadership.Energetic , hands-on individual.Must have a driver's license.Ability to travel to CA when needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust meet manufacturing physical requirements.Ability to work different shifts and/or weekends, including overtime.Ability to work in hot and/or cold environments.Ability to work around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery.Must wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, sleeves, earplugs, and steel-toed shoes.Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time each day.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.Ability to work in tight or closed-in spaces.Ability to regularly climb ladders/man lifts/stairs and crawl under vehicles if necessary.Work Environment
The work environment includes working full-time on-site at either the Covington, GA plant or San Jose, CA facility. The role requires travel and the ability to work in various conditions, including hot and cold environments, around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery. Employees must adhere to safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses, sleeves, earplugs, and steel-toed shoes. The position involves standing or walking for long periods, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 40 pounds, working in tight spaces, and climbing ladders or crawling under vehicles as necessary.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.50 - $41.50/hr.
