PPAP COORDINATOR
DETROIT, MICHIGAN – LEAR DETROIT CONNOR PLANT
As a member of the Quality team, the PPAP Coordinator will be responsible for preparation and maintenance of Customer PPAP submissions and required supporting documentation. The PPAP Coordinator will be challenged to work closely with Quality Engineers, maintain supplier and customer PPAP tracking matrix and support SQTS and generate QN’s to suppliers for poor performance.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Maintain scanned copies of PPAP packages and keep files organized and readily retrievable. Maintain the PPC/PPAP database to assure annual PPAP recertifications. Attend APQP and Engineering Change Meetings as needed. Maintain parts item master from all Engineering Changes. Assist with ETR/PTR coordination and assist in preparing proper documentation. Assist in Engineering change process runs. Attend Product Audit reviews. Assist in capability and Gage R&R studies. Assist with new product launches. Assist in other quality aspects as needed or as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Your Qualifications:
Associate’s (2-year) degree; or equivalent related experience. Excellent written / verbal communication skills. Great understanding of various processes and manufacturing systems. Knowledge of IATF-16949 systems and advanced quality planning tools are a must. Understanding of AIAG PPAP manual and all customer PPAP requirements and specifications.
Bonus If You Have:
Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) for PPAP requirements. Able to understand and utilize SPC, Gage R & R’s and Capability Studies. Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, AS400, IMDS, Covisint, etc.
