PR Las Piedras Maintenance Technician III
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Analyze, diagnose, and repair automated electronic machinery and improve complex processes. II. JOB COMPETENCIES: 1. Diagnose, install, repair, and provide preventive and corrective maintenance to hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of equipment and machinery. 2. Able to understand blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and schematics of equipment and machinery. 3. Requisition tools, parts, and materials necessary for repair or maintenance of equipment and machinery. 4. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity or electronics, welding, plumbing. 5. Generate and maintain accurate project documentation, including technical drawings, engineering changes, and project files. 6. Work in a Lean manufacturing environment: 5s, set-up reduction, continuous flow, standardized work, and total productive maintenance. 7. Diagnose, repair, and install programmable logic controllers (PLCs). 8. Perform machine setups with the Operator. 9. Implement continuous flow processes and standardized work processes. 10. Reduce cycle times and improve setup processes. 11. Perform error-proofing analysis. 12. Implement and expand Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) processes. 13. Troubleshoot complex production problems. 14. Coordinate with key personnel to achieve objectives in a timely and efficient manner. 15. Coordinate and perform process and equipment validations as needed. 16. Generate project documentation and maintain equipment performance files. 17. Periodically report progress on assigned tasks. 18. Perform other duties related to the position. III. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Sense of urgency. 2. Establish work priorities. 3. Notify the need for substantial arrangements or changes in the operation. 4. Maintain assigned areas clean and orderly. 5. Responsible for equipment, cleaning, organization and materials in the work area. 6. Recognize/define the characteristics or critical elements to ensure the quality of the products/processes. Knowledge in the effective analysis, evaluation and mitigation of risks associated with potential failures. 7. Effectively teach other people new to the Department or operation. 8. Communicate effectively with other Departments to maximize efficiency. 9. Provide document control and data management accurately and efficiently. IV. SPECIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Execute tasks according to the Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures of the plant; Preventing environmental contamination, ensuring that safety rules are followed by yourself and others, taking care of and correctly using safety equipment in the required tasks, and contributing with your ideas to improve the health and safety of everyone in the plant. 2. Have good attendance and punctuality, complying with the provisions of the Absenteeism Control Program. 3. Perform your duties according to the training received. 4. Use and care for personal protective equipment. 5. Act and ensure your safety and that of your colleagues. 6. Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor and/or Safety Officer. 7. Be attentive to accident prevention in your work area. 8. Complete work according to the Quality reference framework. 9. Recognize that you have the obligation to stop work or turn off equipment if the quality of the product is affected during any process. 10. Understand the general rules of the Quality Management System and the procedures of the facility. 11. Participate in problem-solving activities and continuous improvement as required. V. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Graduate of a Technical College and/or Associate Degree from an accredited University in Electronics or Industrial Mechanics. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support of electronics and diagnosis and solution of mechanical problems of electronic circuits. VII. QUALITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION: 1.
