Practice Administrator - Neurology

The Practice Administrator - Neurology plans and directs the operational activities of the medical practice. This leader oversees adherence to the organization's policies and ensures proper communication and involvement of subordinate personnel regarding practice operations. The Practice Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing daily operations, which include staffing, practice growth and improvement, financial performance, and customer service. They are accountable for the operational and financial performance results of the medical practice.

Reports to: Executive Director – Community Medicine Specialty Care

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or other closely related field. Master of Health Administration or Master of Business Administration degree preferred. Requires 7-10 years of experience as a Health Professional. A minimum of five years of progressively more responsible related work experience in an ambulatory setting with three to five years of concurrent management experience in order to gain knowledge of administration and operation of physician practices. Thorough knowledge of health care delivery and management, basic accounting and finance, and health care legislation. Requires knowledge of benchmarking and Best Practice research. Knowledge of computer systems and applications is required. Ability to occasionally lift/move/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
