As the Practice Manager, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations of assigned Physician Practice(s) and provide on-site supervision responding to the needs of patients, staff and providers. Continuously evaluates and develops action plans that maximize practice operation efficiencies. Work with the Director to support the mission and vision of Lawrence General Hospital in the delivery of the highest standards of health care to our patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages office revenue cycle to assure accurate and timely scheduling, registration, charge capture and charge entry. Works with providers to assure accurate coding and billing compliance, as well as provider education in medical record documentation and coding practices. Ensures that practice staff members are maximizing the functionality of the eClinicalWorks Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Responsible for office expense management and payroll within budget parameters. Responsible for interviewing and selecting candidates for open positions, orientation, and ongoing management of employee performance. Responsible for training staff in relation to revised and/or newly implemented policies and procedures. Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, delegates and assigns duties, and modifies activities as necessary. Creates, monitors and adjusts provider schedules to maximize physician productivity and to increase patient access. Ensure office compliance with all applicable rules and regulations and health system policies and procedures. Responsible for quality processes and report management. Responds to patient concerns and resolves conflicts by communicating with staff, providers, insurers, Central Billing Office and any other departments that might help resolve the conflict.EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred: Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM®)
