Position Overview
The Practice Manager reports to the Executive Director with accountability for providing strategy, judgment, organization, and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions, and directly to meet Care Medical Practice requirements. They should embody Care Medical Practice’s core values, including, Trusted, Empathetic, Committed, Humble, Creative and Community-Minded. At Care Medical Practice, we don’t have patients or customers – we have Family Members. As part of a leadership in conjunction with the Executive Director, the Practice Manager facilitates the day-to-day operations across the Company, including managing patient, staff and provider interactions and maintaining a service-based approach to issue resolution. Leveraging strong practice management experience, this leader collaborates with Clinical Leads and Providers to promote the highest standards of quality of patient care by appropriately resolving issues at the practice level. The Practice Manager proactively provides support and training to staff, while encouraging their abilities to effectively address triage calls and service recovery.
Key Responsibilities
The Practice Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee all clinical support staff and day to day office operationsReceive and understand direction on clinical processes and competencies from clinical operations leadership and disseminate updates and new protocols to staffAssist with the onboarding, launch and integration of new clinics and lines of businessFunction as key communication point within the practice and among providersAct as initial point of escalation for any staff, provider, or patient concernEnsure success on practice Key Performance Indicators (KPls)Lead clinical staffing assignment and alignmentProvide clear and consistent communication with employeesEnsure clinical staff meetings and huddles are performed successfullyDevelop strong relationships with staff and leverage relationships to assist staff with understanding and interpreting organizational and clinical changes positivelySupply management and delegation as requiredEnsure appropriate orientation of new employees and facilitate on-going training and development of staff to meet changing needs and organizational demandsComplete annual and mid-year employee evaluations for staff, as directedIn conjunction with Talent Acquisition, lead the recruitment, selection and hiring process for staff positionsProactive involvement in employee mentoring, coaching, and disciplineAccountable for understanding and executing against the Practice Operating PlanResponsible for performance against practice budgetResponsible for bi-weekly coordination of all employee payrollAssist the Providers in delivery of patient care, work with provider to resolve all emergent clinical support issues in a timely mannerMonitor the patient flow to identify gaps and partner with nursing leadership to address appropriatelyAccomplish all tasks appropriately assigned or requestedThe Practice Manager will have the following duties:
Leadership: The Practice Manager will lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value, including building a team to design, develop, and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.
Strategy: The Practice Manager will establish the business strategy and roadmap: (1) improve outcomes for Care Medical Practice Family Members; (2) enhance the efficacy of other Care Medical Practice. business divisions; and (3) develop and deliver external market opportunities for Care Medical Practice products and services. In establishing the business strategy, the Practice Manager will define and innovate sustainable revenue models to drive profitability of the Company.
Collaboration: The Practice Manager will ensure that capabilities form a cohesive offering, including by working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs, internalize their knowledge, and define solutions to achieve the business objectives of Care Medical Practice.
Knowledge: The Practice Manager will provide subject matter expertise in solutions, including determining and recommended approaches, solution deployment and performance evaluation.
Culture: The Practice Manager is accountable for creating a productive, collaborative, safe and inclusive work environment for the team and as part of the larger Company.
Required Qualifications
The Practice Manager should have the following qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience3 years or more of clinical or administrative experience in primary care or similar practice setting1 year or more of supervisory experiencePrevious experience managing multiple businesses or locationsExperience performing under pressure with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing all tasks assigned.Technological Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft OfficeExperience working with accounting softwareRequired Knowledge and Skills:
